A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a pedestrian who was injured in a crash died in hospital.

The collision involving the pedestrian and a car happened on Coleshill Street in Fazeley, near Tamworth, shortly after 09:00 BST on 18 July.

A man in his 70s suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital, where he died on 4 October, Staffordshire Police confirmed.

A force spokesperson said a 66-year-old man from Leicester, who was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder on 18 July, has now been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in custody.
