A 14-year-old Isle of Man boy died after he was stabbed in the chest, a court has been told.

The Prosecutor told Douglas Courthouse that Christopher McBurnie, 14, suffered a "fatal stab wound" and was pronounced dead at the scene, in Ramsey, on Thursday.

A boy, also 14, who cannot be named because of his age, has been charged with murder.

The teenager, who appeared in court via video link, will next appear in court on 2 July, with committal proceedings for the Court of General Gaol Delivery to follow on 16 July.
