A man has been arrested on suspicion of firearms and drug offences after a police chase in Leeds.
Officers were alerted to suspicious activity involving a Volkswagen Passat on Midland Road in Hunslet at about 19:40 BST on Thursday, according to West Yorkshire Police.
As they approached, the driver made off and drove the car down an exit slip road to join the M621 travelling in the wrong direction and, as a result, officers made "tactical contact" to stop the vehicle, a force spokesperson said.
After a pursuit on foot, a man was arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm, possession of Class A drugs and possession of stolen goods, they added.
