An 11-year-old boy has been threatened with a knife during an attempted robbery.

The boy was approached and ordered to hand over his phone by a teenager he did not know while walking in Tovey Road Park, Swindon, at about 16:20 GMT on 12 November.

The teenager later pulled out a knife when the boy refused to hand over his belongings. The victim eventually ran away and was uninjured.

Wiltshire Police are now hoping to identify the suspect, who is described as a black male, aged between 16 and 17 and has afro hair.

He was also said to be wearing a grey tracksuit, a grey coat with a fluffy hood and black Nike trainers.

"We are keen to hear from anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious in the area or who may recognise the description of the suspect," the force added.
