A man has been arrested over a 20 minute crime spree involving two successful carjackings and a failed third attempt, as well as damage to multiple vehicles and one person being taken to hospital.
One driver was pulled from the vehicle she was in on Lancaster Circus in Birmingham on Monday afternoon, before it was driven away and crashed nearby in Dartmouth Circus, West Midlands Police said.
A second car, stolen from its driver in Dartmouth Circus, also crashed.
A 34-year-old man has been held on suspicion of robbery, attempted robbery and criminal damage.
According to the force, a woman was pulled from a car in Lancaster Circus at about 15:40 BST before it was driven away and crashed nearby.
An attempt was then made to take a moped from its rider and when that failed, bricks were thrown at an ambulance, damaging one of its doors.
Minutes later, the second car was taken and crashed in Dartmouth Middleway near Jennings Road.
A Toyota car was also hit with a brick, again causing damage, before the man attempted to run.
West Midlands Police said officers swarmed the area and arrested the man at about 16:00.
One of the victims was treated in hospital but has since been discharged.
