Teenager jailed for part in Hull riot

A teenager has been jailed after admitting robbery at a Blacks outdoors equipment shop during the Hull riots on 3 August.

Thomas Cowap, 19, was sent to a young offender institution for 18 months.

He pleaded guilty to the offence at a hearing in September at Hull Magistrates' Court.

Cowap, of Thanet Road in Hull, was sentenced at the city's crown court on Friday.
