Man in critical condition after house fire
Emergency services were called to Saffron Drive on Wednesday evening

A 72-year-old man is in a critical condition following a house fire in Derby.
Emergency services were called to the blaze in the kitchen of a terraced property in Saffron Drive, Oakwood, at 23:24 BST on Wednesday.
Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service said crews from Nottingham Road, Ascot Drive and Kingsway rescued the man from the house and he was taken to hospital before the fire was extinguished by 00:20.
A joint police and fire investigation is under way to determine the cause but there are not thought to be any suspicious circumstances.
