Man charged with murder following city stabbing

A man has been charged with murder following the fatal stabbing of a man in Norwich.

Norfolk Police was called to Mousehold Street at about 22:15 GMT on Friday.

The victim, in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Elvis Vickers, 46, of Mousehold Street, has been charged with murder. He will appear at Norwich Magistrates' Court on Monday.

A 37-year-old man has been released on bail pending further inquiries.

Police said the crime scene would remain cordoned off for a few more days.
