One of Nottingham's major public transport hubs is to close for nearly a week, bus users have been warned.

Victoria Bus Station will be closed from Monday until Sunday inclusive for resurfacing of York Street, Union Road and all 10 bus bays.

The pedestrian walkway through the bus station will be open as usual until midnight each night.

Commuters have been advised to check with operators Stagecoach, Nottingham City Transport and Trentbarton for alternative stops.

The resurfacing is part of a wider programme of work which has seen changes to the junction which accesses the station.

In addition, the bus station flooring will be upgraded, bringing it in line with the Broad Marsh Bus Station.
