A 17-year-old boy has died after the car he was driving lost control and careered down an embankment on a country lane.
Police were called to Jackson Heights Road in Belthorn, Lancashire, just after 20:30 BST on Monday after the blue Vauxhall Corsa left the road.
The teenager driver was found unresponsive and pronounced dead at the scene, Lancashire Police said.
Four other teenagers suffered injuries not thought to be life-threatening and were taken to hospital.
The road was closed while an investigation was carried out.
Sgt Pete Fyans said: "My thoughts first and foremost are with the family at this incredibly sad time."
Witnesses or anyone with relevant dash cam footage have been urged to contact the force.
