A person has been released from their vehicle by emergency crews after three lorries crashed on the A14 in Northamptonshire.

The road has been shut westbound between junction 11, for Cranford and Finedon, and junction 10 for Burton Latimer.

The freed person was left in the care of paramedics, the county's fire service said, but no-one was believed to have sustained any life-threatening injuries.

The road remains closed while crews deal with a large diesel spill, external.

Drivers have been told to leave the A14 at junction 13 for the A45 and head to the Chowns Mill roundabout, before turning along the A6 via Irthlingborough and Finedon, to re-join the A14 at junction 10.
