The body of a man has been found in a lake

A body has been found in a lake following police searches for a missing man.

Suffolk Constabulary had been searching for a man in Needham Market and found a body in Needham Lake on Sunday.

Officers initially went to the lake, off Coddenham Road, on Friday afternoon to begin searching the water and surrounding land

Searches continued over the weekend with the help of Suffolk Lowland Search and Rescue and Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service.

The body of a man was found on Sunday evening.

A police spokesperson said the death was not being treated as suspicious and a file would be prepared for the coroner.

The deceased man's next of kin had been notified, they added.
