A police officer who offered sexual content and services online in return for payment would have been sacked had he not resigned, his force has said.

The officer, who has not been named by Staffordshire Police, was suspended from duty following an investigation by its anti-corruption unit.

It was discovered he had been offering sexual material on the online subscription platform OnlyFans.

A one-day accelerated misconduct hearing on 17 September concluded the former officer, referred to as PC A in the notice issued ahead of the hearing, had breached the standards of discreditable conduct.

He has been put on the College of Policing's barred list, stopping him from working in policing or other law enforcement bodies.

"The officer's standards have fallen short of what is rightly expected of police officers, and I am satisfied with the result of this hearing," said acting deputy chief constable Caroline Marsh.

"All officers and staff must act with the highest standards of integrity, both in and outside of the workplace."

"Given the officer's discreditable conduct, it is right he has received the outcome of gross misconduct," she added.
