Man arrested over stabbing at theme park resort

A man has been arrested following a stabbing at a North Yorkshire theme park, police said.

The incident happened at the Flamingo Land Resort, in Kirby Misperton near Pickering, close to its onsite store just after 01:00 BST on Thursday.

North Yorkshire Police said the victim, a man in his 30s, was being treated in hospital for injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening.

A 22-year-old man, from Stockton-on-Tees, has been arrested in connection with the stabbing, while a 22-year-old woman, a 54-year-old woman and a 51-year-old man, all from the Teesside area, have been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.

Police said they remained in custody for questioning.

Any witnesses have been asked to come forward.
