Man charged with possessing firearm at beauty spot

A man has been charged following reports of a man seen with a firearm at an Isle of Wight beauty spot.
Officers were called to Culver Down, in Sandown, just before 17:45 BST on 16 August.
Stephen Joseph Coyle, 48, from Belfast, was arrested and charged on suspicion of possessing a firearm with intent to endanger life.
He remains in police custody and is due to appear at Portsmouth Magistrates Court on 19 August.
