Fog and aircraft maintenance cause flight delays

Fog and "unforeseen maintenance" to a new aircraft has caused flight delays in Guernsey.

Guernsey airline operator Aurigny has apologised for the disruption saying operations could also be affected on Tuesday - more than 10 flights so far have been affected by the issues.

Its new aircraft was introduced on Friday, external but had some "expected teething issues" flagged after service.

The company said its engineering team was "currently addressing these [issues] to ensure readiness for a full flying program".

It said: "We apologise for the inconvenience caused to our passengers due to these unforeseen circumstances.

"Our team is working diligently to minimise the impact and is actively reaching out to all affected passengers."
