Woman, 73, dies in Selkirk house fire

A woman has died in a fire at a house in the Scottish Borders.
Emergency services were called out to the incident on Balnagowan Road in Selkirk at about 05:30 on Saturday.
Police Scotland said 73-year-old Jessie Dahill was pronounced dead at the scene. Two dogs also died.
Following a joint investigation by police and the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, the fire is not thought to be suspicious. Inquiries are ongoing and a report has been submitted to the procurator fiscal
