Police are appealing for information after a 13-year-old boy was injured by a pyrotechnic at a football match in Inverness.

The device was set alight and thrown at the Caledonian Stadium last Friday during the Championship tie between Inverness Caledonian Thistle and Dundee United.

The incident occurred in the north stand of the stadium around 20:50.

Inverness Caledonian Thistle Football Club said it was assisting police with its investigation.

Police said they were following a positive line of inquiry and asked anyone with any information to get in touch., external
