Searches of a house where materials thought to be used to make bombs were found have concluded.

A 51 year-old, who was arrested on suspicion of dangerous dog and explosives offences, was released on bail, as inquiries continued.

Police evacuated about 20 homes on Saturday, and a cordon was put in place in Stourport Road, Kidderminster, until Sunday evening as a bomb squad secured the area.

Two dogs seized from the property remain with West Mercia Police.

West Mercia Police thanked the community, in particular those who were evacuated from their homes over the weekend.

"This is an incredibly complex investigation, and enquiries will be ongoing for some time, including specialist analysis of the substances found at the house," said Supt Melanie Paley.
