A set of tennis courts in Wiltshire have reopened after an extensive repair programme.

Quarry Road Tennis Courts, in Swindon's old town, were resurfaced in March 2023 but had to close due to drainage issues in June that year.

The courts are operated and managed by the National Tennis Association (NTA).

The NTA said it would be announcing times and dates for resumed regular coaching sessions in the coming days.

Tennis players of all skill levels have been encouraged to book onto coaching sessions after the courts reopened on 12 June.

The NTA will take on the management of the courts on a 12-year term and pay rent to South Swindon Parish Council.

That money will be used as a fund for ongoing maintenance and an eventual refurbishment in 10 to 12 years time.
