Man dies after two-car crash in Aberdeenshire

A man has died after two-car crash in Aberdeenshire.

The collision happened on the A947 south of Newmachar at about 08:00, and involved a white Citroen DS3 and a blue Seat Leon.

The driver of the Citroen, a 40-year-old man, was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary but died.

The driver of the Seat was also taken to hospital with what was described as a minor injury. Police Scotland appealed for witnesses.
