Man denies murdering woman in seaside town

A man has pleaded not guilty to the murder of a woman who was found in a seaside town in Norfolk.
The body of 33-year-old Tara Kershaw was found at a property on Princes Road, Great Yarmouth, on 20 January and an initial post-mortem investigation indicated her death was consistent with compression to the neck.
Adam Barnard, 40, of Princes Road, denied murder during an appearance at Norwich Crown Court by video link.
He also denied manslaughter and a trial date has been set for 29 July.
The family of Ms Kershaw described her as a “beloved sister” and said they were struggling to come to terms with what had happened.
Norfolk Constabulary has referred itself to the Independent Office for Police Conduct over previous police contact before the woman died.
Mr Barnard was remanded in custody ahead of the trail.
