Businesses in Alderney are being asked to get involved in a summit to discuss and plan the island's economic strategy.

The meeting is being hosted by the Economic Development Committee (EDC) and the island's chamber of commerce, with the aim of planning for the business and commerce sector.

The meeting is scheduled for Wednesday 1 May at 14:00 BST in the Island Hall's Anne French Room.

All local businesses have been invited to the meeting, regardless of whether or not they are Alderney Chamber of Commerce members.

EDC chair Alex Snowdon said: "This is an opportunity for all on-island businesses to share their perspectives of the current and future health of Alderney's business economy and to assist in the development of a Strategic Economic Plan."

Local businesses have been asked to forward any points they wish to raise in the meeting by email before 24 April.
