Man's hate crime arrest over graffiti at mosque

A man has been arrested on suspicion of religiously aggravated criminal damage after graffiti was painted on a mosque.

Police said The Imam Hussein Foundation Centre in North Approach, Watford, was targeted overnight between Saturday and Sunday.

Officers said they would conduct patrols to reassure people at "key locations" in response to the incident.

The man remained in custody and anyone with information was asked to contact Hertfordshire Police.
