Murder arrest after man in 20s stabbed

A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder following the death of a man found stabbed in Slough.

The man, aged in his 20s, died after being stabbed in Rochfords Gardens on Wednesday at about 15:20 BST.

Thames Valley Police said the violent attack happened in a public place and was seen by a number of people.

The force said a man, aged 26, of no fixed abode, had been arrested a short time after the attack. He remains in police custody.

The victim's next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers.

Senior investigating officer, Det Insp Nick Hind of the Thames Valley Police Major Crime Unit, said: "This was a violent attack which occurred in a public place in daylight, and was witnessed by a number of people.

"Understandably, this incident will cause a great deal of concern in the community, but I'd like to reassure people that we believe this was an isolated attack, and that we quickly made an arrest."
