Firefighters were called to a blaze at a derelict building in Preston city centre.

Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service (LFRS) said four engines had been deployed to the fire, which broke out on Church Street just before 18:30 GMT.

Firefighters used an aerial platform to douse the flames and were also seen spraying water from the ground over shops and buildings nearby.

LFRS said fire engines were sent from Preston, Bamber Bridge and Blackpool.
