A man has pleaded guilty to manslaughter on the basis of diminished responsibility following the death of a pregnant mother-of-two.
Alana Odysseos, 32, was found by Metropolitan Police officers with stab wounds at an address in Walthamstow, east London, on the 22 July 2024 and died at the scene.
Shaine March, 47, from Surrey Quays in south-east London, has been charged with Ms Odysseos' murder and previously pleaded not guilty.
March appeared at the Old Bailey earlier and remains in custody ahead of his trial for murder which will begin on Thursday.
Ms Odysseos grew up in Newmarket, Suffolk, with her sister Jasmine Yates, who described her as a "pure-hearted person" and "a brilliant mother".
Ms Yates, from Melbourn, Cambridgeshire, said her sister "completely doted" on her two children and "was so excited to become a mother again because she just found out she was four weeks pregnant".
