A developer has revealed plans for up to 300 homes in a Surrey borough.

Re-Creo Developments wants to build the properties along St Peter's Way in Runnymede, on land near Green Lane and Prairie Road.

It says half of the homes would be classed as affordable, and the scheme includes a children's play area, a community hub, a GP surgery and an early years nursery.

The developer says the project would also open up previously unused farmland to the public, creating nature walks.

The plans, still at an early stage, are being hosted on the developers' website where residents can share their views.

A previous application for 260 homes on the site was rejected in 2018 because the land had not been allocated for development.

The developer told the Local Democracy Reporting Service it hopes to submit an outline planning application to Runnymede Borough Council by the end of the year, with a decision expected in 2026.
