Residents are being asked to share their views on draft designs and visuals showing how the link to Bilston High Street could look

Residents in Bilston are being asked for their final thoughts on design proposals for a public space in the town centre, before a planning application is submitted.

The plans focus on the link between Pinfold Street and the High Street, an area City of Wolverhampton Council hopes to transform into a "thriving space for activities".

Residents will be able to view the proposals in person at Bert Turner Boulevard, near the Bilston High Street link, from 08:00 to 14:00 BST on Thursday.

An online survey is also running until Friday, 24 October.

Councillor Chris Burden said last month the scheme built "substantially" on the investments made in Bilston in recent years.

The link, which connects Bilston-Bert Williams Leisure Centre and the wider Urban Village development to the town centre, is currently being used by market traders while the outdoor market is redeveloped.

Work on the link improvements is expected to begin once traders return to the revamped market in 2026, subject to planning approval.
