Police appeal after woman assaulted in city street

Police said the alleged assault happened at about 00:15 on Saturday

Police are investigating an attack on a woman that led to a street being closed for more than 12 hours.
Officers were called to the junction of Becket Street and The Wardwick after the assault at 00:15 GMT on Saturday.
Derbyshire Police said the scene was closed, and The Wardwick reopened at 12:30.
A force statement said officers were appealing for any witnesses or anyone with information.
