Overnight road closure after rubbish fire
- Published
Residents were urged to keep their windows and doors shut as dozens of firefighters tackled a rubbish fire near a derelict building.
The blaze on New Hall Street, Willenhall, had spread to the building and surrounding grounds after six crews were called at about 09:35 BST on Friday, West Midlands Fire Service said.
Thirty-five firefighters were needed at its height but by about 19:15 BST, that number was scaled back to three fire engines and a hydraulic platform.
New Hall Street would remain closed overnight while they worked to finally put the fire out, the brigade added.
