Tonbridge to Edenbridge rail line shut for days
- Published
No trains will run between Edenbridge and Tonbridge in Kent until at least Tuesday and probably beyond, due to emergency track repairs.
Network Rail said engineers would be working through the night to repair the problem, caused by uneven rails.
The company said the rails needed to be lifted and fresh material placed underneath before they are replaced.
In a statement on X, formerly Twitter, it said it was probable the closure may last beyond Tuesday, with replacement buses being brought in by Southern Rail.
