A man who sexually assaulted teenage girls has been jailed.

Christopher Florides, 62, of High Street, Yaddlethorpe, near Scunthorpe, pleaded guilty to nine counts of sexual assault at Grimsby Crown Court in February.

In a later appearance, before the same court on 28 June, Florides was jailed for six years and ordered to sign the sex offenders register for life.

He was also made the subject of a sexual harm prevention order.

Officer in the case, PC Ryan Harvey, said: “Firstly, I would like to commend the victims and their families who have shown nothing but bravery and courage throughout the course of the investigation.

“It takes a lot to come forward, and we understand how incredibly difficult it is to take that first step, but by reporting these offences to us, they have helped bring this manipulative man to justice."
