Major road closed in both directions after crash

The collision took place on the A14 near Sproughton

A major road has been closed in both directions following a car crash.

Police in Suffolk said they were called to reports of a collision on the westbound carriageway of the A14 near junction 54 for Sproughton.

Both the east and westbound carriageways were closed between that exit and junction 55 at Copdock.

The force warned the road was likely to be closed for some time and asked drivers to seek alternative routes.
