Power cuts have affected hundreds of homes in the area

Hundreds of properties were affected by power cuts in Cambridgeshire.

More than 480 customers in the Soham and Ely areas were without power on Wednesday morning, according to UK Power Networks.

The electricity provider said it was investigating a high-voltage overhead electricity line fault.

Power cuts also hit other parts of Cambridgeshire, including Alconbury.

Power outages were first reported at about 06:00 BST but electricity was mostly restored by 09:33.
