Biker injured in 'serious' crash on village road

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was injured in a "serious" crash in a Leicestershire village.

Police were called to Crown Hill in Great Dalby at around 16:30 BST on Tuesday, following a report a rider had come off his green Kawasaki motorcycle while travelling towards Melton.

Leicestershire Police said the rider, a man in his 60s, was taken to hospital and is continuing to receive treatment for his injuries.

Officers are keen to speak to anybody who witnessed the collision or who may have relevant dashcam footage.

PC Ellise Timmins, from the force, said: “Our inquiries to understand the circumstances of what happened are continuing and I’d urge any motorists who were in the area and who have dashcam footage to come forward."
