Two police dogs have been taking part in a training exercise searching for drugs, cash and firearms.

Officers from the force were teaching springer spaniel Ozzie and labrador Boss to search for the items at Beau Sejour Leisure Centre.

They also carried out a building search in the theatre section of the centre, which officers said would help them become familiar with "larger buildings".

In June, the Guernsey Police Dog Section will be perform an interactive demo in St Peter Port as part of the police's summer recruitment drive.
