Disruption warning over heavy rain and thunderstorms
- Published
Heavy rain and thunderstorms could cause flooding and disruption across the East of England, the Met Office has said.
Conditions will "vary significantly" across Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire, Northamptonshire and Milton Keynes on Sunday afternoon.
Some areas could see up to 20-30mm (0.7in to 1in) of rain in an hour or less, with the east most likely to see frequent lightning and hail, the Met Office added.
It has warned people to be aware of potential flooding, adverse travel conditions and power cuts.
