The family of a woman whose murder 41 years ago remains unsolved have released a previously unseen photo of her.

Olive Wilkinson was found dead having received fatal injuries at her home in Montague Street, Cleethorpes, on 10 June 1983.

Humberside Police opened a cold case review of the investigation in 2023 after receiving new information.

A 63-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murder on 21 May has since been released on conditional bail, the force added.

Det Ch Insp Amy Keane-Christie said she hoped the photo might help people remember Ms Wilkinson.

“My team of specialist trained detectives have been continuing to progress the investigation," she said.

“As a part of that work, I am pleased that following our renewed appeal for information and at the conclusion of our searches, a number of new lines of enquiry are now being explored in connection with Olive’s murder."

She has asked people to contact the force if they recall anything relating to Ms Wilkinson's death in 1983.
