A pedestrian was killed when he was hit by a car, police have said.

The man, believed to be in his 30s, was in an alleyway off Parramatta Street, Rawtenstall, when he was struck by an Audi A5 at about 23:20 BST on Friday, Lancashire Police said.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police are appealing for anyone with information or footage to contact them.
