Arrest after report man impersonating police officer

A man reportedly approached members of the public on Gosport High Street in the early hours of Thursday

A man has been arrested on suspicion of impersonating a police officer.
Hampshire Constabulary said it received a report that a man had approached members of the public purporting to be a police officer on Gosport High Street and near the ferry terminal at about 03:30 BST.
He reportedly grabbed a woman by the throat and touched a man inappropriately on the buttocks.
A 19-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of impersonating a police constable, common assault and sexual assault.
