Police responded to reports of a burglary at Toll House in Scarborough on Friday

Three people have been arrested following reports of a burglary at a Scarborough landmark.

North Yorkshire Police were called to the Toll House on Marine Drive at 09:25 BST on Friday.

The suspects left before officers arrived, but police made three arrests later in the morning.

A Scarborough woman in her 40s and two men in their 20s from Scarborough and Malton remained in custody, police said.

Officers appealed for anyone with information or CCTV footage to get in touch.
