From dress down days to bake sales and treadmill challenges, people across Jersey are doing their bit to raise money for Children in Need.

Pudsey has been making his way around some of Jersey's primary schools, helping children with their fundraising.

He handed out certificates at St Peter School and put a penny on a picture of himself at Bel Royal School.

He also joined pupils at St George's School for an assembly, where the head teacher Mr Timothy highlighted why it was important for them to get involved.

Mr Timothy said: "I was just telling the children that money from Children in Need that's raised in Jersey comes back to Jersey.

"So it is very, very important that we in Jersey contribute as much as we can, because there are many people in Jersey that benefit from the funds that Children in Need bring back to Jersey."

Meanwhile, staff at Jersey's General Hospital are on a mission to raise more than £2,000 for Children in Need.

They want to beat last year's total by taking on a treadmill challenge in the front foyer of the hospital.

Nurses, doctors, and managers will all be giving it the challenge a go.

Lead nurse for women and children, Alex Watts, said it was important to raise money.

She said: "[It has been] very, very busy. Every staff member seems to have shown up so far to do their run."
