Number of live music events at castle can double

Up to eight days of live music can be held at an 11th Century castle after a licensing application was approved.
Concert organisers Futuresound Events had applied to Shropshire Council to double the number allowed at Ludlow Castle after it held four days of music at the venue in 2023.
The events can take place between May and September, with about 7,000 people attending each day.
James, Madness and Anne-Marie have already been confirmed they are performing at the castle in July.
A licensing committee ruled that events could last longer, external than they currently do, upping the maximum days to eight from four.
Last July, Rag'n'Bone Man, Kaiser Chiefs, Nile Rogers, Chic and Bastille all performed at the castle at the Within the Walls event.
Lee Jennings attended last year's concerts and already has tickets to see Madness and Anne-Marie this July.
"It's going to be amazing for Ludlow. The ones we had in the summer were fantastic, supported by everyone local and people from all around as well," he said.
Andy Smith, director of Futuresound, said the feedback following those shows had been "overwhelming".
It was clear there was an appetite regionally for the live events taking place at the castle, he added.
He said the shows had given "a real boost to the local economy" and the application for extended days was to give the events "room to grow".
