A new toilet will help make a North Yorkshire beach more accessible to people with disabilities.

The Changing Places toilet will open on Skinningrove Beach, next to the existing public toilets, on 29 January.

It will include a changing bench and a hoist, designed to help people with profound and multiple learning disabilities, spinal injuries and people living with stroke.

A fob system has also been installed to ensure the toilet is always available and to stop vandalism.
