Luke Thomson, of Galashiels, was found guilty by a majority verdict following a trial at the High Court in Edinburgh last month.
The seven offences included multiple rapes, sexual assaults and a charge of assault.
They took place in various places across the Scottish Borders going back several years.
Offences involved five victims
A total of five victims were involved in the offences, with some as young as 14.
Thomson appeared on Thursday at the High Court in Glasgow for sentencing.
The 28-year-old, who is formerly of Hawick, was given 10 years' imprisonment, backdated to 5 March when he was remanded in custody.
He was placed on the sex offenders register indefinitely, and indefinite non-harassment orders were also put in place in relation to the five victims.
