An elderly man involved in a four-vehicle crash died of a medical episode, a Sussex Police investigation has found.

The crash happened on the A272 Horsham Road near Petworth, West Sussex, on 29 April.

The 74-year-old man from Reigate, Surrey, was pronounced dead at the scene.

A recent post-mortem examination found the man had died from a medical episode whilst driving.

A white Porsche, a white BMW, a black BMW, and a white Audi were involved in the collision, police said.

A 65-year-old man from Midhurst sustained serious but not life-threatening injuries and was hospitalised.

Sussex Police thanked the public for their help following a previous appeal for information and have since closed their investigation.
