Solihull Moors fans advised of rail disruption
- Published
Solihull Moors fans have been advised of busy services and train strikes affecting travel to Wembley Stadium for the team's upcoming games.
The Moors are set to play Bromley FC in the National League play-off final on 5 May and Gateshead in the FA Trophy final on 11 May.
Chiltern Railways said two trains per hour would be running from Birmingham Moor Street and Solihull to Wembley Stadium on 5 May, with queuing systems in place at each station.
Due to engineering works on the route from Birmingham to London Euston, it was the only option for direct services between the two cities on the day, a spokesperson said.
Industrial action
Fans have also been warned of train strikes impacting journeys for the team's second trip to the capital on 11 May.
Due to industrial action, no direct trains would call at Wembley Stadium station, with a "significantly reduced timetable" operating between Birmingham, Solihull, and London Marylebone.
Alternative services are available from Birmingham New Street or Birmingham International with other train operators.
However Chiltern Railways said trains were expected to be very busy, and there would not be a direct service to Wembley Stadium on the day.
Customers have been advised to check their journeys and to allow plenty of time for travelling.
