Constable apologises for delay to parish rates

The Constable of Grouville has apologised for a delay in reviewing the parish rates for 2023.
Mark Labey said a Financial Review Working Group had been looking at he parish's financial practices and processes to finalise figures so it could "embark on the second largest capital project in our history" - repairing the parish hall roof.
Mr Labey said the repair would be done "without burdening the tax payer" and the rates assembly would "likely" take place in mid-November and bills would be sent out "soon after that".
"I hope our parishioners will forgive this delay, safe in the knowledge that they have not been asked to finance this project at this time," he said.
