Elton John and Marilyn Monroe items for sale

A selection of "glam" pop culture items, including a blouse belonging to actress Marilyn Monroe, are going under the hammer.
Other items include shoes worn by Elton John, a guitar signed by Paul McCartney and an original poster for punk band the Sex Pistols.
The team at John Rolfe Auctions, Tetbury, Gloucestershire, said the Art and Anarchy auction collection of 1,116 lots is something they have been dreaming of doing "forever".
Director John Rolfe said the place he obtained Ms Monroe's blouse from was "like Madame Tussauds on acid".
The items also include a watch belonging to the notorious criminal Ronnie Kray and a riot shield made by Bristol artist Banksy for the Dismaland exhibition.
The collection was compiled by a couple in Wiltshire and the landlord of the Crown and Sceptre in Stroud, Rodda Thomas.
"It all started as all good things do in the pub in the Crown and Sceptre - a Stroud institution," Mr Rolfe said.
"Rodda was moving from the pub and he invited me upstairs, I was blown away by all The Clash and Sex Pistols records."
"He had amassed a really good collection of punk related items, he had original Sex Pistols posters, the original Anarchy In The UK one, it was a very limited release.
"To have that still alive - very few were made."
He then got a call from a couple in Wiltshire who had "a massive collection of mannequins dressed in pop icon outfits" that had been obtained from a museum clear out.
"It was like Madame Tussauds on acid," he said.
"They had a blouse that was the property of Marilyn Monroe and all the paperwork to go with it".
"I’ve wanted to do a sale like this forever but not been brave enough," Mr Rolfe added.
